Named for the frilled effect of the bright yellow flowers, which are carried in an open, rounded truss of about 12. Consistent in flowering, 'Yellow Petticoats' is a good choice for those looking for a yellow rhododendron, but can sometimes suffer from chlorosis in which instance dolomite lime or phosphate application will help. Grows to about 1.3-1.4m. (October)
