Machaerina sinclairii, 'Pepepe'
A striking sedge, Pepepe is found throughout the North Island, the dropping leaves are green and useful in water-edge plantings, but it is the rust-coloured flowers tassels that make this such a desirable plant.

Cultivation: Prefers a moist soil but will tolerate drier soils. Sun or part-shade.
Propagation: Seed or division
