Hidcote Manor Garden
A formal garden developed by the late Maj. Lawrence Johnstone in a style that has since become the classic English garden. Strong design and magnificent planting, Hidcote has it all - vistas, famous red borders and stilt hedges, formal gardens, circular pool garden and wonderful woodland. Words do not begin to convey the wonders and feel of this incredible garden. It is a must on any gardeners itinerary.

Formal gardens at Blenheim Palace
Snowshill Manor
A fascinating house in a tiny Cotswolds village. The garden lies below the house and is arranged in a series of rooms. It is small but interesting and certainly worth a visit. The colour combinations and planting ideas can easily be translated into a smaller space. We like it. Snowshill has one of the few National Trust gardens which are run organically.
