Samuels Rose Garden, Nelson
(Broadgreen House Rose Garden) The formal 'Samuels Rose Garden' lies to one side of the historic cob house and includes a collection of heritage roses.
In spring daffodils and magnolias make an impressive display.

Fyffe House
A whaling cottage, Fyffe House (c 1860) is a survivor of Kaikoura's past. The garden is representative of early colonial cottage gardens.

Tasman Bay Roses
The garden features a collection of roses both old and new, with many mature climbing varieities seen to advantage on walls, fences, pergolas, and through trees. The garden is formal in style with borders of trees and shrubs. The courtyard features a historic hop kiln and houses the rose nursery. A flock of black faced sheep, minature horses and many birds make this a great outing for all.

Leighvander
Old style cottage garden with an emphasis on lavender with over 100 varieties. Many old-fashioned roses, phlox and fragrant herbs. A lavender walk and restful seating areas.

Isel Park
A collection of trees planted from the 1840's surrounds the homestead at Isel Park. Primarily a woodland garden the spring flowering primulas, bulbs,as well as rhododendrons are very pretty.
Vireya rhododendrons and orchids are housed in a glasshouse.

Gardens of the World
The 2.7 hectare (6 acre) "World Garden" has plantings from New Zealand, Australia, the Orient, America, Africa and Europe. There are formal gardens and an ampitheatre. The garden is a conservation, education, recreation, function venue and visitor attraction.

Entrance fee- $5.00 adult, children free, $4.00 each for booked groups (other groups $5.00 each)

Lilies in Bloom
Specialist gorwer of lily bulbs and plants. A spectacular display of potted lilies in bloom from November to March, set against a backdrop of the clear blue of Golden Bay.

Flaxbourne Station
This historical property, the first large scale sheep station in New Zealand, was established in 1846 and is still home to the descendants of its founder. The large semi-formal garden reflects the new Cape-style house and is set amongst mature trees. Roses, lavender, ornamental olives, grapes and citrus make a truly beautiful and relaxing garden.

Directions- From Blenhiem or Kaikoura take SH1, turn (towards the coast) into Marvells Beach Road when approx 35 kms south of Blenheim or midway (approx. 15 km) between Seddon and Ward. The garden is 5.6 kms further on and is signposted.
