Cornwall Park Collections of azaleas, camellias and roses have been added to the mature trees date back to the 1920's when the park was established.

Eastwoodhill Aboretum Established from 1910 by William Douglas Cook, Eastwoodhill was conceived as an English style park. Today it is a significant collection of exotic trees in an area of 65 hectares (162 acres)
At it's most striking in autumn when the foliage colours are magnificent, Eastwoodhill is also special in spring when blossom and daffodils enliven the gardens

Waiohika Inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, Waiohika was built in 1926, replacing the original pre-1900 homestead, and is surrounded by mature trees planted by Charles Gray who acquired the property in 1877. The current owners have further developed the garden over the past 17 years, creating a small lake, planting palms and plants that contribute interest and form. Formal, rose, herb gardens complement the sub-tropical plantings.

Trelinnoe One of New Zealand's finest woodland gardens, Trelinnoe is a lovely country garden of 12 hectares (30 acres) with a wide and impressive range of trees and shrubs. Collections of magnolias, shrubs (especially spring flowering), New Zealand natives, and perennials. Landscaped paths and wide, sweeping lawns, lakes, clipped hedges and views over the surrounding coutnryside. Lovely in all seasons.

Kennedy Park Rose Gardens Planted in the early 1950's, Kennedy Park demonstrates that roses love the Hawkes Bay. A central pergola is hung with climbers and a formal pattern of beds showcase many other varieties.

Napier Botanic Gardens Located on Hospital Hill, the Botanic Gardens tkae full advantage of the lovely site and the mature trees. Maples and herbaceous plants feature, and bedding displays. A garden of New Zealand native plants is being established.

Glenroy A hillside garden, water garden with bog plants and lilies. A wide range of plants including leucodendrons, proteas, with old roses, perennial borders and many clematis giving summer colour. A rustic barn and gazebo.

Ormonds Garden & Nursery A garden specialising in rare and unusual plants for dry and difficult conditions. In addition there is a wide range of New Zealand native and exotic plants. Pleasant garden walks and superb views of Te Mata Peak and the Tuki Tuki River.
